The conservatively rated 20Wpc (into eight ohms) Luxman L-550AXII integrated amplifier includes many of the interior features and sonic capabilities of its larger, twice-as-expensive sibling – and the same unmistakably retro-contemporary looks. L-550AXII features a high-precision discrete electronic attenuator (LECUA) and the latest version of Luxman‘s proprietary high-quality feedback circuit ODNF 4.0, both of which are used in Luxman‘s upper-range amplifiers. Keeping the classic appearance with traditional VU meters on the front panel, L-550AXII enjoys dense tonal color particular to pure A class sound and more detailed reproduction of the low frequencies. Chassis bases have superb vibration absorption in order to further suppress noise levels. The power transformer, electrolytic capacitors, and amplifier output stage all laid out so as not to interfere with each other.
